The Academy

Craft

Misdirection, triples, callbacks, act-outs: technique you can see.

4 lessons

  1. Lesson 1:

    Built, not found

You will spot the gap between a built joke and a lucky word, and fix it.

  2. Lesson 2:

The rule of three in practice

You will build a triple where two flat items set a pattern and the third breaks it within the category.

  3. Lesson 3:

    Callbacks and tags

Stack a second punch on a working setup and revisit that setup later in a new context.

  4. Lesson 4:

    Escalation and act-outs

Stack comparisons into a visible ladder and perform the voice shift instead of describing it.
