Terms of Service
Zuletzt aktualisiert am 2026-08-29
These terms are the agreement between you and Trust in food snc di Emanuele e Stefano Nozza when you use Comedy Roaster. They are written to be read, not to be survived.
What this is
Comedy Roaster is a place to write jokes and have them judged. A language model scores each joke across six dimensions and suggests one fix. There is a daily challenge, duels voted on by other people, leaderboards, a lesson library, and a party game.
The service is provided by Trust in food snc di Emanuele e Stefano Nozza, Corso Milano 51, 20813 Bovisio Masciago (MB), Italia, VAT 09574370962.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16. If you are under 18, you should have your parents' agreement before subscribing to anything.
You need an account only to keep your progress. Writing a joke and getting it judged requires nothing.
Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email, so there is no password. Keep control of that mailbox: anyone with access to it can get into your account.
One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone else, and do not pick a stage name designed to look like someone you are not.
What you write stays yours
You keep every right you have in the jokes you write. We do not claim ownership of them.
To run the service we need permission to use them: you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute your public submissions inside Comedy Roaster — in duels, on leaderboards, in the public archive, and in the preview images generated when someone shares a result.
This licence exists so the site can show your joke to the people voting on it. It does not let us sell your material or put it in advertising without asking you.
The licence ends for future uses when you delete your content, with one honest exception: copies already distributed by other people, and archived pages already collected by search engines, are outside our control.
What the judgment is, and is not
The score is produced automatically by a language model. It is an opinion generated by software, and it is wrong sometimes — about you, and about jokes that deserve better.
It is not a professional assessment of your talent, not career advice, and not a promise of any result. Treat a bad score as one room not laughing, because that is exactly what it is.
How to behave
A roast attacks ideas, situations, and people who came to be roasted and are in on it. That is the game.
What is not the game, and will get content removed: attacks on people because of ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other protected characteristic; harassment or threats; publishing private information about real people; sexual content involving minors; and material that is simply illegal.
We may remove content, limit an account's visibility, or close an account entirely when these rules are broken. Where a decision is not obvious we will explain it if you ask.
Paid plans
Free accounts get the daily challenge and a small number of judgments per day. Paid plans add the practice room and additional features, described on the plans page at the price shown there.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal, in a couple of clicks; your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for a period already begun.
If you are a consumer in the European Union you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because this is digital content supplied immediately, that right ends once you start using the paid features — which is what you agree to when you subscribe. Until you use them, write to privacy@comedyroaster.com and we will refund you.
Prices may change. Changes never affect a period already paid for, and we tell registered users before a change takes effect. Founder pricing, where offered, holds for as long as the subscription stays active without interruption.
Availability
We work to keep the service up, but we do not promise it will be. There will be maintenance, failures, and days when the judging model is slower than it should be.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you are paying for, we will refund the unused part of your period.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending it
You may stop using Comedy Roaster whenever you like and ask us to delete your account.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Except in serious cases we will tell you why first.
Law and disputes
Italian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you can also rely on the mandatory protections of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your own place of residence.
The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
